BUSINESS ANALYST - AUCKLAND SMALL TEAM - ONLINE PORTAL PROJECT WORK CLOSELY WITH THE CLIENT (A NEW ZEALAND BLUECHIP) EXCELLENT GROWTH ENVIRONMENT Auckland Inner - Ref. JFT2009015 A small team of dedicated software professionals located in the Auckland Business District are looking for a Business Analyst to join their team and work closely with one of their key clients on a major portal update. The client is a New Zealand Top 10 and the project is a multi vendor, multi technology smorgasbord of systems. The opportunity to shine is obvious and the team offer excellent growth and management potential to an experienced Business Analyst with an in-depth knowledge of the SDLC. The technologies are a mix of Microsoft, J2EE, XML, PDFs, Silverlight, Sharepoint and everything else thrown in to the 'technology salad'. You name it and it's probably in there being either migrated, updated, outmoded or re-skinned. As an experienced Business Analyst, you will have the ability to understand client needs, translating them into specifications which the development team are able to deliver. As you would imagine with any BA role, this role will require excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritise, an understanding of when to push back on a client, and the interpersonal manner to have them go away feeling 'the love'. Now usually you would get a 'wish-list' of tech skills and a mini filter list to weed out the "Yo's" from the "Whoa's". Not on this one. We are looking for someone who will fit the culture.
